目前悅某在做的作業主題與醫療插畫有關，於是選擇和家鄉的家庭醫師合作，做大腸鏡檢查的相關衛教插畫。以下是找到的一些參考資料和影片~

很詳盡的介紹，但是裡面的圖片很顯然都是找現有的素材拼貼而成，缺乏完整性。看來專門做醫療插畫的人還滿少的吧？不然就是醫院沒有經費和時間給專業人員做完整的設計……

This video offers a lot of information about colon cancer and colonoscopy, but the pictures and illustration in it obviously are not designed for the video. It seems like there are not so many people doing medical illustration in Taiwan, or just the hospital doesn’t have enough money and time for professional illustrator or animator to design and edit it.

我目前人不在台灣，所以不清楚各大醫院有沒有做給病人的衛教小傳單，也不清楚那些傳單長怎樣。但看了一下這些放在網路上的資料，大部分的衛教內容多以文字為主、圖片為輔，很少有插畫。

I’m not in Taiwan now, so I don’t know if the hospitals that I listed above have leaflets for patient education or not. Most of the information which I can find online is presented by words but not pictures nor illustration.

基本上如果是準備要接受檢查的病患或家屬，面對滿滿都是字的衛教單張，應該會顯得很不知所措吧？所以還是得仰賴醫護人員的解釋和說明(或許也因此加重了醫護人員的工作量)。

Basically, it will be hard for those patients and family members of the patient who are about to have the exam to gain information of the exam by a sheet full of words but no pictures at all. As a result, patients still have to ask and rely on medical personnel to explain all the information on the sheet.

我認為藉由插畫和平面設計的專業能夠改善目前衛教單張的資訊傳遞功能。但這需要仰賴大量的人力物力、經費支持，還有醫院決策人員的重視，否則很難改善現況。

I think the function of the leaflets can be inproved by illustration and graphic design, but it needs a lot of time, money, and designers to work on it. Most importantly, the owners of the hospitals have to think this is important to make the change.
